Analysis of the reasons for the deterioration of wiper blades

The wiper blade is also known as the wiper. It is a commonly used body accessory in automobiles. It is mainly used to wipe off the rain on the windshield in rainy weather, and can also be used to wash the windshield. Wiper blades are important safety parts on motor vehicles. They must be able to effectively remove rain, snow and dirt; be able to work at high and low temperatures; and be resistant to corrosion by harmful substances such as acids, alkalis, and salts. The wiper blade is a component that keeps the outer surface of the windshield clean and ensures a clear view in rain and snow. It is one of the important guarantee systems for driving safety and an indispensable component for motor vehicles.

       Wiper blades are consumables, and I suggest that the majority of riders regularly check and replace them. According to the wiper blade manufacturer, the wiper blade is inspected once every 6 months and replaced once a year. This is because the wiper blade will gradually deteriorate and lose its effectiveness after long-term use. There are many reasons for the deterioration of the wiper blades, here is a brief list for everyone:

       1. The abrasion of the knife edge by rain and air (sand, mud, dust, foreign matter);

       2. Corrosion of the coating of the stent soaked in rainwater and cleaning fluid (containing acid or alkali);

       3. Soaking in rainwater and cleaning fluid (containing acid or alkali) will corrode the rubber strip;

       4. Paraffin or automobile exhaust gas (oil); (shaking and pollution)

       5. Cold and low temperature (snow, ice); (make the rubber strip hard and brittle)

       6. High temperature (windshield, sunlight), causing rubber to crack and harden;

       7. Rubber strip damage (ultraviolet rays, ozone);

       8. The pressure of the rocker arm causes the rubber strip to be compressed for a long time;

       9. Ultraviolet rays in the UV spectrum in the sun, as well as temperature and humidity, cause discoloration, brightness/intensity reduction, cracking, peeling, chalking, and oxidation of the stent coating.

       10. Numerous back-and-forth cycles of work, normal wear and fatigue of the rubber strip.

       These reasons will cause the deterioration of the wiper blade, so the wiper blade should be checked and replaced regularly.
